The Caliber of Revenge.

Remember how crazy I went over for Miguel Marte's El Calibre De La Venganza trailer? I fell in love with the shootings, explosions, and the way the narrator said "Paty California". WHAT A TRAILER! After repeatedly watching that trailer over & over, I knew I had to own that movie. And so, I finally acquired it earlier this year! Now did the movie actually live up to the awesome as fuck trailer? Keep reading and you shall know!

In El Calibre De La Venganza (aka "The Caliber of Revenge"), a cop named Ricardo (Angel Sancho) is working his way into becoming head of his station. He's fighting & gunning down bad guys by the book. No bullshit from him whatsoever! When he's finally the head of his station, he finds out it wasn't the hard work that got him where he's at; it was actually the convincing words of an admirer of his. The admirer is the police captain's wife (Claudia Fuentes). She is quite attracted to Ricardo, and she thinks having him promoted will get him to want to bang her; but Ricardo is not like that and rejects her advances towards him. This pisses her off big time; and so, she gets Ricardo's brother (whom is also a cop) to get him fired. After being fired unfairly, Ricardo then gets a job as a newspaper columnist where he writes about corruption in the local police field. This pisses off criminals & their dirty cop friends; so they send out a hit on Ricardo and his son. While Ricardo survives the attempted hit, his son however does get shot and ends up in a deep coma. Filled with anger & all; Ricardo decides to get even with the criminals that shot his son. Ricardo is gonna get his revenge no matter what. Nothing & nobody will stop him.

Soooo.... Did the movie actually live up to the awesome as fuck trailer? The answer is YES! Oh most definitely yes! El Calibre De La Venganza is the most entertaining Miguel Marte movie I've seen since 38 Especial and Con El Dedo En El Gatillo. Miguel Marte really put so much effort into this movie. The man basically did everything in this movie! He directed, produced, and even played the main guy Ricardo using his unique acting name Angel Sancho.

Like the trailer shows, the movie is filled with lots of action packed scenes. Mostly shooting scenes, but awesome ones! There's also this really neat scene where Ricardo inserts a grenade into a guy's shirt. While the guy and another guy try to get the grenade out, it ends up blowing up, thus causing an explosion. It is an amazing scene (!!).

I absolutely love El Calibre De La Venganza. To me, its one of Miguel Marte's epics. It is a Mexican action movie that is need of more attention. A Must Watch For Sure. 7/10.
