Maria Cristina's Revenge From Beyond The Grave.

After a young woman named Maria Cristina is brutally raped & murdered by some sleazy dudes, she comes back from the grave to get revenge on her killers! She approaches them first, scratches their faces, and then they get killed in their vehicles. At the same time, Maria's mother hears her daughter crying her name, Maria's jewelry disappears from her room and then re-appears in the hands of her killers. Obviously some wild supernatural shit is going on! Manuel Capetillo and Roberto Flaco Guzman better do something about this!

La Muerte Acecha (aka "Death Stalks") is a pretty decent mystery/thriller flick, however it does go by very slow in the middle since there is just a bunch of chatting and a guy (one of Maria's killers) denying his homosexuality (seriously). However, once Maria Cristina re-appears, all hell breaks loose! (sorta). My favorite part of the movie is when right after Maria is murdered, her soul appears to leave her body, then glimpses of her killers surround her body, and after all those dude's faces swirl around her lifeless body, it ends with a snowy TV screen. I'm not really sure what that part meant, but it was pretty darn trippy! I can't forget to mention the last kill in the movie! Once Maria Cristina confronts the last guy, she makes his truck crash down a hill, but of course its not an actual truck crashing down and burning.. It is actually a toy truck crashing down. Cheap, huh? Oh yeah. Very cheap.

I always have fun watching La Muerte Acecha, so maybe you will too. Check it out sometime. Okay? Okay. 5/10.

This movie is 'based on a true story'. Swell.
